Gas migration particularly methane through landfills(potential cause for explosions) is area of concern to prevent environmental and life damages.Thus finding the gas permability helps in a effective design of barrier system through liners thereby using this volatile gas in more effective way such as electricity production.The research aims at finding gas peremability of clay in the lab .
