• Devised a novel method for estimating depth from a single image during Ph.D. which was published in CVPR, the top conference in our area.
• Devised a novel method for classification that provided a framework for considering latent variables and jointly inferring the latent variable and class label. This work is published in International Journal of Computer Vision which is the top journal in our area.
• Provided a method for improving endoscopic images using super-resolution. This work is being commercialized by a startup in Leuven, Belgium. Work was published in a workshop of MICCAI.
• Devised a method for improving panoramic images by using high resolution broadcast cameras. This work has been patented at Bell Labs and proof of concept was implemented in collaboration with an intern. This work was done as part of a EU FP7 project at Bell Labs

• Best paper award at BMVC 2011 for work on "Object Classification with Latent Variables", which was joint work with Hakan Bilen and Luc Van Gool
• Best research work (Rs. 75,000/-) awarded by MSR, India at Techfest 2007 for image restoration work done during Ph.D.
