Research Interest
I am interested in acquisition of English as an L2 by Indian learners. In particular, I focus on the interface between the general cognition and language-specific patterns in acquisition. I am also interested in applying insights from acquisition research and language theories to teaching English at various levels.

Was jointly responsible for developing, testing and implementing English curriculum at school level, pre-service teacher training and in-service teacher education in Rajasthan during 2012-14.

Research Assistant with the Promise Foundation, Bangalore, during Jan-Feb 2011. Worked on a project investigating difficulties of young children in reading Kannada as their L1.
I listen to Indian classical music (both Hindustani and Carnatic). I am also interested in World Cinema (Kurosawa, Fellini, Bergman, Majidi are some of my favourite directors).
