We are praying to God for his soul rest in peace. We are praying for their family to overcome this moment of sorrow. Prof Mullick was very close to our family. I met both Prof Mullick and Mrs Mullick in Bangalore when they visited IIIT Bangalore. C M Abraham

Srivathsan KR wrote on 1st March 2012 For me Prof. Mullick passing away is a deep personal loss. I had known him since late 1971, worked under his guidance in R&D and M.Tech. projects before, during my days as student of IITK M.Tech. during 1972-74. He was instrumental in making me join IITK as faculty when I completed my Ph.D. in 1981 at Queens University, Canada. My first paper in IEEE journal was with him as co-author. I was fortunate to be with him for many years as a younger faculty colleague. My two children were groomed by Mrs. Umaji and all my family members will miss him, his generous heart and gentle touch in everything he spoke or did, his ghazals in the inimitable baritone voice and so many other memories in over 40 years of association. I learnt more by observing him in ways of life and gentleness. He will always be in my heart. Me and my family members pray to Almighty for his soul to rest in peace and giving the inner strength to all his family members and friends to bear this profound personal loss.
