Effects of SGS scalar fluctuations on droplet evaporation and subsequent scalar mixing processes are investigated using Large Eddy Simulation (LES), where the gas-phase combustion is modeled following Flamelet Progress Variable (FPV) approach. The present approach may be used to investigate complex turbulence-spray-combustion interaction phenomena in industrial problems. Accompanying figure shows the contours of OH mass fractions for different jet Reynolds numbers.
