IITK BAJA vehicle bags several awards at BAJA Student India 2015 competition SAE IIT Kanpur

The automotive hub of the institute has achieved partial success in the recently concluded BAJA Student India 2015 competition held at NIT  Jamshedpur from January 5th - 11th. A passionate team of freshman and sophomore students embarked on a journey a year ago to build, what became
the first off-road racing vehicle made in IIT Kanpur. Along the way, their dedication and enthusiasm continuously increased, their knowledge and skills steadily expanded.
 
In the competition, IITK BAJA vehicle received critical appreciation in design, clean packaging and low weight. The achievements in the very first participation are (out of 45 national teams):
1st Position: Best Incoming Team Winner trophy
4th Position: Design
4th Position: Acceleration
5th Position: Overall in Static Events (Design Event, Cost Event, Sales Presentation)

The team clocked one of the best in lap times.
