The paper titled "Self-Sustained Oscillations for a Three-Dimensional Transonic Cavity Using LES" by K. M Nair, S. Sarkar and Z. Labana of Mechanical Engineering Department has been adjudged as the best paper in the category of "theory" in the 5th International and 41st National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power held during December 12-14, 2014 at I.I.T Kanpur. The award was sponsored by Springer. The award was competitive as total number of registrations in the conference excluding the local organizing committee members and invited speakers was equal to 418.
