Prof. Vijay K. Stokes has been inducted as the Institute Fellow

Professor Vijay Kumar Stokes joined IIT Kanpur in 1964, where he served as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department (1974-1977) and as the Convener of the Nuclear Engineering and Technology Programme (1977-1978). Amongst hos several contributions to the institute was the design of the IITK logo. In 1978, he joined GE Corporate R&D group. Prof Stokes is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers. He has received Dushman Award and Coolidge Award from GE Corporate Research and Development.
