The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur hosted a course on Industrial and Electronics Waste Recycling and Management from 10th -15th March 2025 as part of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs, India. The course focused on capacity building, technical skill development, and theoretical knowledge in the field of waste management and recycling.
The program was led by Prof. Arunabh Meshram, afaculty in the Material Science Department, andCourse Coordinator, specializing in Non-Ferrous Extractive Metallurgy with research interests in the recovery of valuable products, industrial waste management, and electronic waste recycling. The course had 25 students from 15 countries, including government officials, diplomats, and researchers.

The opening ceremony was graced by Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, who extended a warm welcome to all participants on behalf of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and the Office of International Relations, IIT Kanpur.
