The DAAD is the world’s largest funding organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers. The basis for the exchange of scientists are cultural exchange programmes between the Federal Republic of Germany and partner countries as well as bilateral agreements with foreign partner organisations. The scholarships are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The joint ‘DAAD IIT Faculty Exchange programme’ has been running successfully since 1997.
