On the 18th of December 2023, Professor Umesh Mishra, Dean of the College of Engineering at UC Santa Barbara, undertook a visit to IIT Kanpur.

During this visit, substantive discussions transpired with Professor Dhirendra S. Katti, Dean of International Relations at IIT Kanpur, centered on the establishment of student exchange programs and the facilitation of research collaborations between the two academic entities.

This deliberative engagement marks a significant stride towards fostering bilateral academic relationships and strengthening the ties between UC Santa Barbara and IIT Kanpur.
