On September 24, 2024, Professor Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, interacted with the Commonwealth Chemistry Executive Board at IIT Kanpur and gave an overview about the international footprint of the institute. The delegation comprised esteemed members, including Professor Neil J. Coville (President, Commonwealth Chemistry, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa), Professor Alison Thompson (Dalhousie University, Canada), Professor Steven E. Bottle (Queensland University of Technology, Australia), Professor Naumih Noah (United States International University Africa), and Professor Michael Forde (University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad), among others.

The Commonwealth Chemistry Executive Board Meeting was conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, from September 23 to 25, 2024. The meeting was hosted by Professor Sandeep Verma, a member of the Commonwealth Chemistry Executive Board and Professor of Chemistry at IIT Kanpur. Key discussions focused on advancing collaboration in chemical research, training, and education. The delegations exchanged insights on curriculum innovations and research initiatives, emphasizing the significance of shared resources and best practices. Together, they are assessing the Federation's efforts to inspire, commemorate, and enhance the role of chemical sciences for the betterment of Commonwealth nations and their populations.
