The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur successfully concluded the Industrial and Electronics Waste Recycling and Management course, held from 10th to 15th March 2025 under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs, India. The program provided a platform for knowledge exchange, technical skill enhancement, and global collaboration in the field of Industrial and Electronics Waste recycling and management.

The course was coordinated by Prof. Arunabh Meshram from the Department of Materials Science, an expert in Non-Ferrous Extractive Metallurgy, industrial waste management, and electronic waste recycling. Over the course of six days, 25 participants from 15 countries, including government officials, diplomats, and researchers, engaged in lectures, hands-on training, and discussions on innovative recycling techniques, industrial waste recovery, and sustainable waste management practices.

The valedictory session was presided over by Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the program. Participants expressed their appreciation for the insightful sessions and collaborative learning opportunities offered by IIT Kanpur.
