The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was delighted to welcome Prof. Surojit Chattopadhyay from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taipei, Taiwan, who visited the Centre for Nanosciences at IIT Kanpur from August 2–10, 2026.

The visit was organised under the ongoing India–Taiwan collaborative project on developing disposable SERS sensors for screening cardiac biomarkers.

During the visit, the delegation held in-depth discussions on scientific understanding, experimental approaches, knowledge exchange, student & faculty exchange programmes, and avenues for Indian and Taiwanese companies to collaborate on research and technological innovation. The delegation also met with Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, and discussed strategies to strengthen this partnership further.

The visit marked a key step in reviewing project progress and reinforcing the strong research partnership between IIT Kanpur and NYCU.
