The Office of International Relations, IIT Kanpur, successfully hosted an invited talk by Prof. Udaya Parampalli from the School of Computing and Information Systems, The University of Melbourne, on "Computer Science Perspective on Research in Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning" on 8th July 2025.

The session began with a warm welcome and introduction by Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members of the various departments, along with students interested in the Quantum Computing and Machine Learning.

The talk provided participants with valuable perspectives on ongoing research in Quantum technologies and its application in coding and cryptography for offering enhanced security.

Prof. Parampalli also gave an overview of the Melbourne India Postgraduate Academy (MIPA) program, which offers opportunities for researchers to network, share knowledge and participate in professional development. IIT Kanpur and University of Melbourne has been involved in strategic partnership through the MIPA, offering opportunities for research collaboration and engagement.
