The prevalence of SPINK1 outlier expression or ETS genetic rearrangement status among prostate cancer (PCa) patients is largely unknown in India. This project proposes to characterize the full spectrum of the PCa specific driver aberrations in a large cohort of Indian prostate cancer specimens, with specific focus on estimating the prevalence of SPINK1 over-expression.

Tsunami word has been known since decades in Japanese literature (tsunami – the harbour wave). It is well established from various studies that such giant waves are generated by sudden disturbance of sea water column particularly by large magnitude subduction or seafloor earthquakes, submarine landslides, underwater volcanic eruption etc.

One of the most important and most commonly encountered problems in geotechnical earthquake engineering is the evaluation of ground response. Ground response analysis is used to predict site natural periods, assess ground motion amplification, provides ground motions for development of design response spectra, evaluate potential for liquefaction, and to determine the forces induced due to an earthquake which can lead to instability of earth and earth slopes.

Due to corrosive environment, pipes used for transportation often get damaged. Defects caused by corrosion and cracking may cause serious accidents like leakage, fire and blasts. It also reduces the life of the transportation system substantially. The project aims at developing a pipe health monitoring system based on smart sensor based rotating probes which can be transported inside pipes of variable diameters with the help of a conduit crawler robot.

Wave plasma interaction has been widely investigated especially with plasmas that are in steady state, inhomogeneous and nonmagnetic in nature. Its impact include generation of high-energy electron bunches in large amplitude electron plasma wave based plasma accelerator, excitation of temporal plasma-wave echoes in the ion wave regime and self-generation of magnetic fields.
