Kanpur, June 11, 2022: The third meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee Office-3 was held on June 8, 2022 at 3 pm. The head of this committee is Professor Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur. 45 Central Government offices located in Kanpur city have been attached with this committee. It is noteworthy that IIT Kanpur has the responsibility of monitoring the progress and implementation of Official Language in all these offices.
The third meeting of the committee was presided over by the Deputy Director of the institute, Professor S. Ganesh. In his address, he called upon all the heads of offices present, to take concrete steps towards the promotion and implementation of Official Language so that the goals set by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs can be achieved.
Reviewing the half-yearly report received from the member offices, Dr. Vedprakash Singh, the member secretary of the committee, advised all the heads of offices to avoid the violation of Official Language Rules/Acts while filling the report and fill the figures clearly in the half-yearly reports to avoid any kind of uncomfortable situation/objections during the inspections of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language.
Shri Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Assistant Director, Regional Implementation Office (North Zone-2), Ghaziabad, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, also joined the meeting virtually and asked all the office heads present to ensure compliance of Official Language Rules/Acts. He also called upon all the offices to organize half-yearly meetings and workshops regularly, providing detailed information about the rules/acts related to Official Language. Registrar Shri Krishna Kumar Tiwari welcomed all the heads of offices and other officers present in the meeting and thanked them for attending the meeting.
