OBITUARY

Prof. M. R. Sridharan Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur

With profound sorrow, we inform the sad demise of Professor M. R. Sridharan, a former faculty member of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, IIT Kanpur. Professor Sridharan was born on August 16, 1943.

Professor Sridharan worked in the area of Combinatorics and Graph Theory. He got his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from IIT Madras and joined IIT Kanpur as lecturer on September 1, 1975. He became professor in 1982 and superannuated from the institute in the year 2005.

May the departed soul rest in peace and may Prof. Sridharan's family find the strength to bear the loss.
