Kanpur, December 30, 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur delivered an outstanding performance at the Inter IIT Tech Meet 14.0, held at IIT Patna, securing an overall second position and winning the silver medal after a gap of six years. IIT Kanpur was represented by the Science and Technology Council, Students’ Gymkhana, whose remarkable performance brought pride to the entire institute.

Throughout the competition, students showcased exceptional technical acumen, creativity, and innovation while solving complex problem statements posed by leading companies and organizations. This achievement reflects IIT Kanpur’s strong problem-solving culture, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical technological excellence.

IIT Kanpur teams delivered impressive performances across multiple problem statements, securing several podium finishes. Teams working on the Eternal and StemVibe problem statements secured first place, while the ISRO Geospatial problem statement earned second place. Teams also secured third place in problem statements from Ebullient Securities, Arista Networks, LAT Aerospace, and GDAI, significantly contributing to the institute’s overall ranking.

The institute extends its heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all students of the Science and Technology Council, alumni, the Design Department, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Aerospace Engineering, and all faculty members who directly or indirectly contributed to this success.

This achievement was made possible under the capable leadership of Mr. Tanush Goel, General Secretary, Science and Technology. Special appreciation is extended to Mr. Trijal Srivastava (Contingent Leader), Mr. Rachit Choudhary and Mr. Mayank Agrawal (Deputy Contingent Leaders) for their consistent efforts, dedication, and leadership, which laid the foundation for this historic success and brought laurels to the institute.

In the overall rankings, IIT Kanpur secured second place with 2951.93 points. IIT Kharagpur emerged as the overall winner with 3438.92 points, while IIT Indore, IIT BHU, and IIT Madras completed the list of the top five institutes.

IIT Kanpur’s second-place finish at Inter IIT Tech Meet 14.0 highlights its continued excellence and high-level performance in industry-driven and research-focused problem statements. The entire IIT Kanpur community congratulates the Science and Technology Council, Students’ Gymkhana, and celebrates this inspiring achievement.
