Kanpur, February 19, 2025: C3iHub, the Cybersecurity Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Kanpur, proudly announced the winners of the HACK IITK Global Cyber Security Hackathon 2025. The three day event concluded with a prestigious valedictory session at IIT Kanpur. The hackathon brought together some of the brightest minds in cybersecurity, providing an invaluable platform for participants to showcase their skills and innovative solutions in addressing the ever-evolving challenges of cybersecurity in the digital age. The Startup Track winners included Close AI Tech, founded by Mr. Naman Arora at IIM Lucknow's Noida Campus, who secured the first prize, winning INR 3 lakhs and $5,000 in AWS Cloud credits. The second prize went to Quantumweave Intelligence, which received INR 2 lakhs and $5,000 in AWS Cloud credits, while Reddact Labs won the third prize, earning INR 1 lakh and $5,000 in AWS Cloud credits. The Special Jury Innovation Award was given to Okynus Tech, who also won INR 1 lakh and $5,000 in AWS Cloud credits. Several of these winning startups will also be incubated at C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, to help them grow and scale their solutions. In the Solution Track, Team Jr. Boka from Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology won the first prize, securing INR 5 lakhs. Team bi0s from Shiv Nadar University, Chennai, took the second prize with INR 2 lakhs, while Team India_x8200 earned the third prize, winning INR 1 lakh. The Special Jury Innovation Award in this track was given to Team HEXXA, who were awarded INR 1 lakh. Prof. Sandeep Shukla, Project Director of C3iHub, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The HACK IITK Global Cyber Security Hackathon continues to inspire and showcase the exceptional talent in the cybersecurity field. The level of innovation and problem-solving displayed by all the participants has truly exceeded our expectations. We are proud to provide a platform for these brilliant minds to shape the future of cybersecurity.” The valedictory session was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Mr. Srikant Shastri, Chairman of the Geospatial Data Promotion & Development Committee (GDPDC), Mr. Rajiv Swaroop, Former President of Shiv Nadar University and Dr. Tanima Hajra, COO and Interim CEO of C3iHub. HACK IITK 2025 was made possible through the strategic partnerships of Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), State Bank of India, Saptang Labs, SecureDApp, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the Cloud Partner, alongside Hack2Skill and Prutor as Platform Partners. These collaborations have been instrumental in ensuring the hackathon provided not only a world-class competitive experience but also the essential resources, mentorship, and industry expertise required to push the boundaries of cybersecurity innovation.
