DESIGN OF CONCRETE BEAMS WITH TRANSVERSE OPENINGS
In multistory buildings , we find service ducts such as electricity pipes,AC ducts etc passing beneath the soffit of RC beams. False ceilings are used to cover the ducts for aesthetic reasons. But, this leads to wastage of precious space which leads to uneconomical design.
Proposal is to pass service ducts through transverse beam openings which will lead to economical and compact design. Proper design of beam openings become a key issue.

To explore the toxicity of fog time collected submicron particulate matter.
Understanding the role fog time collected submicron particulate matter and induction of its proinflammatory response from immune cells and tolerance development in monocyte/macrophage cells due to organic fraction of ambient PM1.

Research Topic

My research problem deals with estimation of forest carbon using Compact Polarimetric SAR Interferometry(CP-PolInSAR).
There is evidence on alarming increase in greenhouse gases (GHG) due to the anthropogenic activities. As CO2 is an important and major contributor of GHG it is essential to understand the process of carbon cycle in detail.
Evolution of Interferometric and Polarimetric SAR technique have given a new dimension for estimating structural properties of various tree species even under severe weather conditions. In this research we try to examine the capability of CP-PolInSAR in estimating the biophysical parameters of tree and monitoring carbon stock in terrestrial environment.
