Techkriti’26: Asia’s Largest Technical & Entrepreneurial Festival to be held at IIT Kanpur from March 19–22

 

   

Kanpur, 18 March 2026: The 32nd edition of Techkriti, the annual technical and entrepreneurial festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, will take place from March 19 to March 22, 2026. Recognized as Asia’s Largest Technical & Entrepreneurial Festival, Techkriti continues to bring together innovators, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from across the globe to celebrate technology, innovation, and creativity.


Techkriti has established itself as one of the most prominent platforms for technological excellence and knowledge exchange. The festival features a diverse range of competitions, exhibitions, workshops, and interactive sessions designed to encourage innovation and engineering excellence among young minds.


One of the major highlights of Techkriti’26 will be its flagship events and competitions, including the high-intensity Robowars, where powerful combat robots battle in an arena of engineering and strategy, and the Grand Prix RC Racing Championship, which showcases high-speed remote-controlled racing machines and cutting-edge automotive engineering.


The festival will also host a series of Flagship Talks, bringing distinguished speakers and global thought leaders to share their insights and experiences. This year’s lineup includes astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and artificial intelligence researcher Nicolas Heess from DeepMind, among others, who will discuss the future of space exploration, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.


A key segment of the festival, Rakshakriti, will focus on defence and strategic technologies. It will feature the Operation Sindoor Panel, along with discussions and exhibitions showcasing advancements in defence innovation and national security technologies.


In addition to these highlights, Techkriti’26 will feature numerous technical competitions, innovation challenges, and hands-on workshops aimed at encouraging participants to develop practical skills and innovative solutions for real-world problems. The festival also provides opportunities for networking and collaboration among students, researchers, startups, and industry experts.
