The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is set to become the epicenter of global open-source innovation as it hosts the highly anticipated Opportunity Open Source Conference (OOSC) 2025 from September 5–7, 2025. Co-organized with leading international organizations, including the Linux Foundation, OpenPrinting, Canonical, Zephyr, and DeepComputing, OOSC 2025 is set to be India's flagship open-source event.

Following the tremendous success of last year's edition—which witnessed over 1,000 participants, 60+ expert speakers, 40 sessions, and a marathon 12-hour hackathon—this year's conference is expected to surpass all records in scale, impact, and global reach.

Chaired by renowned open-source leaders Till Kamppeter (OpenPrinting) and Aveek Basu (GSoC, Linux Foundation), OOSC 2025 will feature speakers and panelists from Europe, the USA, Asia, and India, offering participants rare access to world-class developers, researchers, and innovators shaping the open-source ecosystem.
