Standard Penetration Test
The standard penetration test (SPT) is an in-situ dynamic penetration test designed to provide information on the geotechnical engineering properties of soil.
In this test the penetration resistance of soil is recorded at different depths and soil samples are also collected with the help of a split-spoon sampler.
