IITK Corporate Alliance

The CorpAliance represents a collaborative endeavor initiated by the IITK Foundation, operating in close partnership with IIT Kanpur. Steering this initiative are Dr. Akshai Runchal, representing the Foundation, and Prof. Ajit Chaturvedi, representing IITK.

At its core, the primary aim of the CorpAliance is to establish an active research and development partnership between the industrial sector and IIT Kanpur. This endeavor seeks to foster an environment where industrial partners can easily tap into the intellectual resources and research facilities available at IITK. This collaboration will empower faculty and students to engage with CorpAliance members on R&D projects conducted within the Institute, addressing both current and future industry requirements.
 

The CorpAliance will function as a membership-based organization, with industrial partners contributing a modest annual fee, approximately $50,000. In return, IITK will establish a local focal point organization within its premises, acting as an intermediary between CorpAliance members and the institute. Members will enjoy priority access to the resources offered by the IITK Library, including services, R&D materials, and web-based presentations. They will also receive regular updates on ongoing R&D projects, announcements, startup initiatives, and activities in targeted areas. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to stay informed about upcoming R&D opportunities and can request meetings with faculty members specializing in relevant areas.

Faculty participation is incentivized with compensation in the form of R&D grants or travel support, encouraging their active involvement in this collaborative venture.
