  • The micro Drivven Combustion noise Analysis( μDCAT) Software:
    • Engine noise, vibration testing and analysis.
    • The micro Drivven Combustion Analysis Tool (μDCAT) is used to perform Engine combustion and noise analysis.
    • It is the combustion analysis tool from National Instruments and it requires NI Compact DAQ 9178 Chassis and NI 9215 module.
  • B& K 4374 - Miniature piezoelectric charge accelerometer:
    • Type 4374 is a piezoelectric, Planar Shear accelerometer.
    • It is able to withstand high temperature on the engine surface and is able to measure engine vibration.
    • High-level, high-frequency measurements, measurements in confined spaces and on delicate structures are possible
    • Vibration testing and analysis can be performed.
  • B & K 4192 - Pressure-field microphone, 3.15 Hz to 20 kHz, 200V polarization:
    • Type 4192 is designed for high-precision noise measurements. Being externally polarized, Type 4192 should be used with a classical pre-amplifier.
    • Pressure-field microphones are optimised to have a flat frequency response in a pressure field. The microphones are used for making measurements in small, closed couplers or close to hard, reflective surfaces
    • Type 4192 is suited for situations, where a robust and stable pressure-field microphone is required and it is well suited for the engine noise applications.

  • Engine noise, vibration testing and analysis.
  • Development of technology for Engine noise and vibration reduction.
  • Effect of different injection strategies on engine noise and vibrations.
  • Engine noise and vibration optimization.
  • Effect of Biofuels on Engine Noise and Vibration.
