1. Question: What is the Minimum Duration, Maximum Duration and Academic Requirements for PhD programme?

 

Answer: The duration varies as per the qualifying and/or highest degree of the candidate (Bachelors/Masters). For example, candidates with MBA or equivalent degree in Management will have a minimum duration of 4 semesters and maximum of 6 years. 2. Question: How many course credits (maximum) can I complete in a semester?

3. Question: Can I pursue PhD as a part-time candidate?

4. Question: How many credits do I complete if I join as a part-time candidate?

5. Question: Can I convert my registration from full-time to part-time?

Please note that IIT- Kanpur employs a centralized standard format of certificate for reserved category students. Those students who have applied in the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PD), should bring with them the appropriate certificate in that prescribed format when they come for the written test.

8. Question: How to send the Referenece Letter?

 

Answer: Your referees will receive an e-mail from oaadmin@iitk.ac.in with subject "Request for Reference". Referees can submit their recomendations through the link provided in that e-mail.

10. Question: Where to stay?

 

Answer: Accommodation can be arranged in hostel of IIT Kanpur on additional payment. Please contact admission facilitator for the same. Food related bills have to paid by the candidates themselves.
