M.Tech. Admissions 2026

• All Indian national candidates (both GATE and Non-GATE) must apply through the admission portal available at the IIT Kanpur website https://iitk.ac.in/doaa/pgadmission/index.php. Application deadline: April 13, 2026.
• Applicants must possess a B.E./B.Tech. degree in any discipline with a minimum CPI of 5.5/10 or 55% marks. Please refer to the PG manual posted on the DoAA website for detailed eligibility criteria.
• Department of Management Sciences (DoMS) accepts GATE scores from any stream for admission to the M.Tech. program. GATE scores are valid for 3 years. Candidates who took GATE in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible to apply.
• The GATE score requirement is waived for B.Tech. graduates from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and at least 8.0 CPI in the last two years of the B.Tech. program.
• All GATE-based applicants must accept or reject the admission offer through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) (https://coap2026.iitr.ac.in/coap2026/).
