Liquid biopsies, owing to their minimally invasive nature, are associated with significantly less morbidity and can be scheduled more frequently to provide a personalised snapshot of the disease at successive time points. The fabrication of a cost-effective cluster chip is being developed for isolating circulating tumour cells and its utility in cancer diagnostics.
