The Yadupati Singhania Super Speciality Hospital (YSSSH) is the flagship clinical facility of the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences & Technology (GSMST) at IIT Kanpur. Conceived as a 500-bed, next-generation super-speciality hospital, YSSSH integrates advanced clinical care, medical research, and engineering-driven innovation to redefine healthcare delivery in the region.

Housed within a comprehensive medical campus, the hospital will offer high-end tertiary and quaternary care across eight core clinical departments and two advanced clinical centers, supported by modern ICUs, diagnostic services, and state-of-the-art non-clinical infrastructure.

Oncology Block (Cancer Care & Research Centre)

The upcoming Oncology Block at GSMST is envisioned as a dedicated, stand-alone 200-bed cancer care and research facility, seamlessly integrated within the broader GSMST ecosystem at IIT Kanpur. Designed to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric oncology services, the centre will combine advanced clinical care with cutting-edge research to address the growing cancer burden in the region.

The facility will house specialised departments

• Radiology and Radiotherapy,
• Nuclear Medicine,
• Oncology Endoscopy Suite,
• Chemotherapy Unit, and
• Bone Marrow Transplantation,

enabling a full spectrum of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care.

The centre will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, including

• Linear Accelerators (LINACs) for precision radiotherapy,
• PET-CT and
• Advanced imaging systems

for accurate diagnosis, and modern radiation planning and delivery platforms, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based treatment.

With a strong emphasis on precision oncology, multidisciplinary care, and translational research, the Oncology Block will work closely with GSMST’s engineering and biomedical ecosystem to develop innovative, affordable cancer care solutions.

Technology-Enabled Nursing and Paramedic School

The proposed Nursing and Paramedic School at GSMST aims to build a future-ready healthcare workforce by offering high-quality education and hands-on clinical training aligned with global standards. The school will focus on developing skilled nurses and allied health professionals equipped with modern clinical competencies, technology-enabled training tools, and patient-centric care approaches. Integrated within the GSMST ecosystem, it will play a critical role in strengthening healthcare delivery, addressing workforce needs, and supporting the region’s growing demand for trained healthcare professionals.
