Prof. Dipin S. Pillai has already made a significant mark in developing reduced-order models for physico-chemical transport processes to gain analytical or semi-analytical insights. Prof. Pillai research interests include Stability Theory, Nonlinear Dynamics, Reduced-Order Modeling, Hydrodynamic Stability, Thin Films, Electrohydrodynamics, Multiphase flows.

Congratulations to Prof. Siddhartha Panda on being elected as a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) – 2024
Prof. Panda’s research interests include transport phenomena, reaction engineering, materials processing and micro/nano fabrication for the development of chemical sensors using printable flexible electronics and silicon electronics based platforms. His recent innovations, namely the Haptic Smart Watch and Strip-based test to detect neonatal jaundice, have been pathbreaking and are certain to impact many lives.

National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), Allahabad is the oldest of the three prestigious science academies in the country, with the objectives to provide a national forum for the publication of research work carried out by Indian scientists and to provide opportunities for exchange of views among them. Congratulations to Prof. Siddhartha Panda and team at NCFlexE for their innovation “Haptic Smart Watch for Blind & Visually Impaired” being recognized for the socio-economic impact created with the successful technology transfer of the invention during the annual STEM Summit - 2024, held in Bengaluru.
22nd January 2024 Congratulations to Prof. Siddhartha Panda and team at NCFlexE for their innovation “Strips for simultaneous electrochemical detection of total and direct bilirubin” being showcased at IInvenTiv-2024! It discloses the fabrication of a non-enzymatic electrochemical sensing strip that can simultaneously detect the direct and total bilirubin in a single drop of blood, and provide the concentrations within a minute.
17th January 2024 Congratulations to Prof. Nishith Verma and team for being granted another joint US and European Union (EU) patent with Shell plc, that aims to offer innovative solutions for wastewater management under a decade-long collaboration. It aims to offer innovative solutions specifically for a ‘catalytic wet oxidation process’ developed for treating industrial wastewater effluent of propylene oxide producing plant.
05th December 2023 IIT Kanpur bags Best 'Assisted Technology Initiatives by Educational Institutes’ award at ATF Awards 2023 for engaging in assistive technology activities, Prof. Siddhartha Panda and team received the award for the technologies titled, “Haptic smartwatch for blind and visually impaired” and “Single Refreshable Braille Cell Based Braille Learning Device with a Touch Sensitive”.
