Sajani Kumar Roy Memorial Chair

Mr. Ranodeb Roy (BT/CSE/1990) instituted the Sajani Kumar Roy Memorial Chair that is open to faculty of all the departments of sciences. Mr. Roy is the co-founder and CEO of RV Capital Management Private Limited, an asset management company based in Singapore. Mr. Roy has over 28 years of global Financial Markets experience. Prior to setting up RV Capital, a company he founded in 2011, Mr. Roy was Managing Director & Head of Fixed Income Asia Pacific at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong. He has also worked in Merrill Lynch Hong Kong as Managing Director & Co-head of Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (FICC) group in 2007, and also held various senior positions in Merrill Lynch across major locations including New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Mr. Roy started his career at Bank of America, Mumbai in 1992.

Prof. Bushra Ateeq

Prof. Bushra Ateeq, from the Department of Biological Sciences & Bioengineering, IIT Kanpur, is a leading cancer researcher whose work focuses on the genetic and epigenetic changes underlying cancer progression, chemotherapeutic drug resistance, cancer biology, and precision medicine. She earned her Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University. She is a recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, the National Bioscience Award for Career Development, and the Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Award. She is an elected Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), and the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), India.

Prof. Nisanth Narayanan Nair

Prof. Nisanth Narayanan Nair, Department of Chemistry, his work focuses on computational chemistry and modeling complex chemical reactions accurately . The techniques developed by him have applications in drug discovery, predicting protein structures, and understanding enzymatic and other catalytic reactions.
He completed his MSc in Chemistry from IIT Madras in 2001 and PhD from University of Hannover, Germany in 2004. He received Young Scientist Medal from Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi (2013).


Prof. Saikat Chakrabarti

Prof. Saikat Chakrabarti, from the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur, works on state estimation of transmission and distribution systems, stability and control of power systems with renewable energy integration, operation and control of microgrids, modelling of generators and loads, and the planning and operation of distribution systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada.
