Kislaya Nursery School

Kislaya School, a non-profit private educational organization, was established in 1967. Due to the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the classes were conducted online following all safety guidelines. A total number of 130 students actively participated.


Class Activities

Like all years, this year was full of fun and exciting activities. Students participated with full enthusiasm and made these activities extremely fruitful. Below is a list of all the activities that were conducted in the 2021-22 academic year.

  • Collage work
  • Free hand drawing
  • Coloring
  • Origami
  • Diya decoration

Different ways of printing – Thumb printing, vegetable printing, cotton printing, bud printing etc.

  • Pasting activities – Matchsticks, glitter, button, paper etc.
  • Storytelling with props
  • Poem recitation
  • Science Experiments

Sports

Kislaya’s Annual Sports Day was conducted virtually in November. Despite being conducted virtually, students showed immense dedication and participation. The energy levels were high, and the sportive spirit could be felt throughout the day. From PT to aerobics to Yoga, students actively participated in all the activities. Dance and music filled the air with joy and the teachers did everything in their capacity to turn this day into a memorable one for their students.


Competitive games and races like, balance race, colour mixing, bottles & grains which were also held. For the very first time in the history of Kislaya, a virtual annual sports day was celebrated. Kislaya was grateful to all the parents for their support and enthusiasm.


Celebrations

Children celebrating festivals at school has become an integral part of growing, learning new activities, and building a strong cultural foundation. Celebration brings students closer to each other and their cultural traditions.
There were various festivals celebrated throughout the year. Through props, costumes and interactive storytelling, teachers kept their students engaged and filled the air with festivity. Below is the list of all festivals celebrated this academic year -

  • Independence Day: Singing of national anthem, discussions about freedom fighters and fancy Dress
  • Raksha Bandhan: Interactive Rakhi making session.
  • Janmashtami: Interactive storytelling about Janmashtami and its origin.
  • Dussehra: Storytelling about the occasion, virtual dandiya party.
  • Diwali: Interactive Diya decorating session, virtual puja and rangoli.
  • Christmas Day: This year’s Christmas was conducted at school. Students turned up in great numbers and were greeted with Christmas gifts.
  • Republic Day: Collage activities of flag making, interactive storytelling and speaking sessions for students, patriotic songs.

Class Parties

Kislaya has always had a culture of fun and exploration. With enthralling class parties, we aim to boost the excitement among students and at the same time introduce them to the essential skill of cooking. Following parties were conducted this year –

  • Bhelpuri Party
  • Fruit Salad Party
  • Lemonade Party
  • Mango Party

Examinations

  • KG Final Examinations took place on campus in the month of March.
  • All necessary covid protocols and guidelines were followed.
  • Group photo session took place on the last day of examinations.
  • Students were gifted a framed version of their group photo as graduation gifts.
