Arjun Dev Joneja Faculty Chair

Dr. Dev Joneja (BT/ME/1984) is currently the Chief Risk Officer at Exodus Point Capital Management. Previously, he was the Global Head of Risk and Analytics at Millennium Management LLC and has also served as its Senior Managing Director. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Dr Joneja was at Lehman Brothers for 13 years, and served as the Head of Fixed Income Research and as the Global Head of Lehman Indices and Point. He has also served as a Research Analyst at Barclays Capital and as a faculty at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Joneja instituted the Arjun Dev Joneja Faculty Chair for the Department of Civil Engineering.

Prof. Priyanaka Ghosh, Department of Civil Engineering, research interests include Bearing Capacity of Foundations, Numerical Analysis, Retaining walls and Earth Pressure Theory, Pullout Resistance of Anchors, Stability of Slopes. He has won many awards such as "IEI Young Engineers Award 2011-2012" by The Institute of Engineers (India)-2011, "Outstanding Young Investigator Award" by International Association for Computer Methods and Advances in Geomechanics (IACMAG), USA-2011, "Scholarship for Young Indian Researchers" by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research-2009. He graduated from University of North Bengal and did PhD from IISc Bangalore in 2005.

Prof. Sachchida Nand Tripathi, Department of Civil Engineering, research interests are in the fields of Aerosol Science and Technology, Low-Cost Sensors for Air Quality Monitoring, Air pollution source identification in near real-time, Aerosol-Land Use-Rainfall-Climate coupling, Large-Scale Chamber Aerosol Experiments for Reactor Safety. He is the recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize (2014), Indian National Science Academy Fellowship (2020), The National Academy of Sciences India Fellowship (2015). Prof. Tripathi earned his doctorate from University of Reading, UK in 2000.
