
Prof. Jai Navlakha (MT/EE/1974) is a Professor and former Director of the School of Computer Science at Florida International University and a seasoned computer science educator and researcher known for his leadership in academic administration, program accreditation, and disaster informatics. His research spans program verification, algorithms, expert systems, neural networks, and disaster management, with extensive publications in leading journals and conferences. He has received several distinguished honors, including the Fulbright Senior Scholar recognition and an honorary professorship in Peru. He has also played a key role in ABET accreditation and academic program development at Florida International University.
Prof. Jainendra Navlakha instituted the Jainendra Navlakha (1974) Chair in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur.
Prof. Subhajit Roy from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur, has research interests in the area of formal methods, programming languages, artificial intelligence, and software engineering. His work is focussed on the use of symbolic and machine learning techniques for analysis, verification and synthesis of programs, probabilistic systems and machine learning models. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and has received several honors, including the Amazon Research Award, C.N.R. Rao Faculty Award, Qualcomm Faculty Award, and Google India Faculty Research Award.
