Class of 1973 instituted the Young Faculty Fellowship that is open to all the departments of engineering and sciences.
Dr. Nisheeth Srivastava is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on solving local problems using AI and machine learning methods. He did his PhD from University of Minnesota. His PhD was advised by Paul Schrater and addressed fundamentally philosophical questions about the nature of value and desire from the prism of computation. He was a post doc fellow at the University of California, San Diego.
