Dr. Vishal Govind Rao is the professor at the Department of Chemistry at IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on the fundamental properties of photocatalytic materials, particularly plasmonic and perovskite systems, aimed at improving their stability and catalytic efficiency for applications in energy conversion and sustainable technology. He joined the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as an Assistant Professor in 2019, following postdoctoral research positions at the University of Michigan and Bowling Green State University, Ohio. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from IIT Kharagpur in 2013. Dr. Rao serves on the editorial boards of prestigious journals like Communications Materials (Nature) and Chemical Physics Impact. As an editor, he frequently handles manuscripts and provides critical input, ensuring the dissemination of cutting-edge research in these fields.
Dr. Nisheeth Srivastava is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on solving local problems using AI and machine learning methods. He did his PhD from University of Minnesota. His PhD was advised by Paul Schrater and addressed fundamentally philosophical questions about the nature of value and desire from the prism of computation. He was a post doc fellow at the University of California, San Diego.
