Dr. Devendra Shukla (BT/CE/1967) is the founder of Innovative Technical Solutions Inc. (ITSI), a leading environmental and infrastructure engineering firm in the northwestern United States. Under his leadership, ITSI evolved into an award-winning global enterprise, executing major engineering and construction projects for agencies including the U.S. Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Energy. In 2010, ITSI became a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company.
An accomplished entrepreneur and investor, Dr. Shukla also serves as a board member and investor in ImageProvisionTechnology. He established the Dr. Shukla New Faculty Fellowship at IIT Kanpur to support young faculty members in their research pursuits.

Prof. Sathesh Mariappan

(May 2024-April 2027)

Prof. Sathesh Mariappan from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur, has research interests in thermofluid interactions, optical flow diagnostics, physics-integrated machine learning, and geological flows. He has received several prestigious honors, including the Young Engineer Awards from INAE, IEI, and ISEES, the International Exchanges Award from The Royal Society, London, and the Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship.
