Mr. Arun Seth currently serves as an independent Director on FMRT (Foundation of Medical Research and Technology) at IITK and on the board of companies such as Jubilant Pharmova Ltd., Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd.,Narayana Hrudalaya, Ixigo, Kent RO Ltd., Usha Breco Ltd., Sify Technologies, Tonetag, MKSPAMP, etc. He has been mentoring and scaling start-ups in the energy, healthcare, data infrastructure, and education areas.
Mr. Arun Seth did his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1973 and went on to do his MBA from IIM Calcutta in 1976. Mr. Seth was the founding MD of British Telecom in India in 1995 and rose the company to great heights. He has been on the board of Tech Mahindra for 17 years and was instrumental in growing Mahindra BT to Tech Mahindra. He has mentored many health/medtech start-ups such as Healthifyme, Healthcubed, Sondehealth, Epigenres, Cyclopsmedtech, Alertgy, Mindwell Labs, Twinhealth, etc. He is an active advisor to disruptive tech companies like global ad network - Inmobi which he incubated in 2007 and became India's first unicorn. He is also a consultant for Bioangels, which is India's first biotech angel network.
Mr. Seth is involved with TiE Delhi Chapter and is currently a Charter member. He is the co-founder of Nudge Institute and advises Give India.org . He is a trustee of DPS Ghaziabad Society and is a governing member of Helpage India Board, SPIC- MACAY, NCPEDP. Until 2019, he also presided over the NASSCOM foundation, which fosters CSR efforts across the IT industry by leveraging technology for scaling good.
Mr. Arun Seth left his corporate career early to concentrate on bringing the benefits of information technology and telecommunications to real-world businesses in a variety of industries, including energy, health, fintech, MedTech, education, hospitality, and others. He plans to do this by fostering an innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem and putting an emphasis on giving back to the society.
Mr. Seth chaired the Pan IIT in 2010 and has been active in alumni affairs and was Vice President of IIT Kanpur Alumni Association. He is the recipient of the prestigious IITK Distinguished Alumnus Award 2019.
