Mr. Kartik Mani was appointed as the Head of Asia Consumer Bank by Citi in 2021. He holds strategic and operational management responsibility for Citibank's 18 consumer banking businesses across 17 markets.
Mr. Mani did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1992.Subsequently, he went on to complete his MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad .
Mr Mani joined Citibank in 2020 as the Asia regional head of cards & unsecured lending, and head of North Asia cluster.He was responsible for Citi's cards and loans businesses across Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as Citi's consumer and wealth businesses in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.
Before joining Citibank, Mr. Mani worked at American Express and was the global head, consumer credit cards and lending there. He led the company's proprietary and co-branded consumer card and non-card businesses. Prior to American Express, for almost two years, he served at Standard Chartered, Singapore as the global head of consumer lending, card and payment products.
