Late Mr. Kushal Sacheti

Late Mr. Kushal Sacheti was the Founder and CEO of Galaxy USA Inc. and Key Items Inc., global enterprises in the diamond and jewellery industry. He was also the Co-founder of Illuminate Health, a U.S.-based healthcare technology startup, and NP Bridge Solutions, a socio-technology startup in India.

Profile

Mr. Sacheti received his master's degree in chemical engineering from IIT Kanpur and an undergraduate degree from BITS Pilani. He had over 50 years of business and entrepreneurial experience. He invested in and offered advisory services to nearly a dozen startups in the US and India. He was a part of the funding of one of India's earliest venture funds, Erasmic, which is now a part of Accel Partners.

Mr. Sacheti's initiatives included mentoring and advisory roles at several educational institutions, and arts and social welfare organisations in India, Nepal, and the US. He was involved in various educational and technological initiatives at IIT Kanpur, IIT Gandhinagar, and BITS Pilani. He was the Founder and Chairman of the Center for Curiosity, a non-profit organisation that aimed at triggering curiosity at all levels globally. He had an advisor role in Akshaya Patra Foundation, USA, which provides 2 million mid-day meals to school children in India; was a Co-founder of Unlimit Art; and a board member of Agewell Foundation in the US. Over the years, he provided educational and career mentorship to many students.

Mr. Sacheti was the recipient of the prestigious IIT Kanpur Distinguished Service Award (2021) and the Institute Fellow Award from IIT Gandhinagar (2023).
