Mr. Anup Bagchi currently serves as a Managing Director CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
Mr. Anup Bagchi received his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1990 and subsequently went on to earn management degree from IIM Bangalore.
Mr. Bagchi is an engineer turned banker who served on both the Committee on Financial and Regulatory Technologies (CFRT) of SEBI and the Expert Committee on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the RBI. He served as co-chair of the FICCI's Capital Markets Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL), and the Advisory Committee of BSE Ltd. In addition, he served on the SEBI's Risk Management Review Committee, Committee on Financial and Regulatory Technologies, and Committee on Fair Market Conduct.
He joined the ICICI Group in 1992 where he has amassed a wealth of experience across various sectors, including retail banking, corporate banking, and treasury. During his tenure as the Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Securitie, the organization achieved an impressive feat by winning the prestigious Outlook Money Award for India's Best E-Brokerage House for seven consecutive years. He held office as an Executive Director and Chief Effective in 2017 and headed the Wholesale Banking, Transaction Banking, Markets Group and Proprietary Trading Group. He is also on the Board of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company and served as the MD and CEO of ICICI Securities prior to this.
