PG Admissions (2026-27 Semester I)
For PhD written examination, all candidates who are eligible for PhD admission in our department have been shortlisted. Two Indian national who have applied immediately after Batchelors and have not given their GATE score have not been shortlisted. Similarly one foreign national who applied for PhD based on bachelor’s degree but has CPI less than 7.5 has not been shortlisted.
For MSR written examination, the following GATE score cutoffs have been used:

The Ph.D. and MSR written examination and interviews are scheduled on 11th and 12th May 2026. All the shortlisted candidates can download their call letters from https://pingala.iitk.ac.in/PGADM-0/login

On the day of the written and interview, please carry all original documents and a photo ID for verification.
If you belong to the SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, or DAP category, then you must bring the valid original certificate supporting your category.
For External/Sponsored/Part-time candidates, please bring a NOC certificate from your employer.
No request for change of date of the written and interview would be entertained.
