Analytics Case Competition and Symposium 2014

The Department of Industrial and Management (IME) at IIT Kanpur recognizes the importance of analytics in today’s information rich business environment. Analytics is no longer merely a support function: it is at the core of many strategic and tactical business decisions.

In an effort to encourage the development of industrially relevant analytical skills among its students, the IME Department at IIT Kanpur is organizing the second edition of its analytics competition as Analytics Case Competition and Symposium (ACCS 2014).

IME - ACCS 2014 will have three components:

Analytics Workshop: Analytics workshop will be conducted by eminent faculty of Industrial and Management Department and experts of the industry. The workshop will provide a hand on experience to the students to work out real life business problems.
Case competition: Participating student teams from IIT Kanpur will work on cases provided by our event partners from industry. The proposed solutions will need to be backed by appropriate data analytics.
Symposium: Experienced members of the analytics industry will share their vision about the future of the industry, the activities of their companies, and the employment prospects for management graduates.
